If you are now as convinced of the importance of headshots as I am, you might consider going to a professional to do it for you. Apart from using the most flattering lights for your face, a professional photographer should direct you on your posture to bring out your best features. Personally, I would recommend you take 2 or 3 outfits to your shoot so you can test which one is more flattering on camera and which one suits your headshots’ purpose best (again, trust the photographer you chose to give you feedback and help you choose). And most importantly, your photographer should make you feel at ease, have a good time and forget why you used to get nervous in front of a camera while he or she does the work.
